Brunch was lovely. Not only did we have a nice time, it forced us to finally do a cleaning that was most necessary. And afterwards, per [livejournal.com profile] xthread's suggestion we headed out to a lovely dinner. It was the most social I've been in way too long. Whenever I finally become social again, I realize how much I've missed it.

Of course, I'm heading out to Vegas this weekend (for work), so I'm going to be anti-social again. And next weekend is Passover, so.... gah! It's hard to schedule being social, especially with a baby.

Brunch and socializing

Again, sorry we missed brunch. Dorothy was somewhat recovered by about 3pm, but still really wrung out.

As for the the bit about it being hard to socialize when you have a baby, I don't know if you've seen the standup bit from several years ago where the comedian comes out on stage carrying a bowling ball wearing a diaper, and a big chain runs from the bowling ball to a shackle on his leg. He says, "Dinner? We'd love to, but we have a baby."

Is there anything that I can't break!?!?

That was supposed to read:

He says, "Dinner? We'd love to, but we have [drops bowling ball on stage from about waist high] a baby."

But I used angle brackets instead of square brackets. I wondered if that would be interpreted as an HTML tag, so I hit Preview, but it came through just fine. Then I hit Submit, and it got eaten.

Hopefully the square brackets will work.

Worked this time. :)

And yeah, sometimes that's exactly what it feels like with a baby. But, oddly, I still think it's worth it. Kind of like the dogs for you... a lot of work, a lot of pain-in-the-neck, but overall, the right choice.

Heh, sorry about that. I meant this weekend is Vegas, and the weekend after this is Passover. So ... I'm going to be doing some serious spring cleaning sometime inbetween. I'll have to try the cleaners [livejournal.com profile] llamaeyes recommended.

Are you being social this evening?

We were indeed social, and dropped by Strata's Yuri's Night Party. It was very nice, although we managed to get lost enough that poor M had to find us & guide us in. Oops.

*sigh* I lost the ability to breathe easily this evening and decided against going based on the fact that Strata's home is also home to two allergens. What'd I miss? *sigh*

Sorry to hear it. It seems to be sick day today. Take it easy. You missed conversation, music, pictures from the Spaceship One takeoff, potstickers, KFC, and chocolate chip cookies (the same kind we brought to your party). It was (likely is) a very nice time.
