Finding Skilled Labor

I need to find folks who are skilled labor in these areas, and would be willing to help me out for money:
1. Sewing (fairly basic: pillows, curtains, etc.)
2. Gardening: Would love to get someone who would like to love my yard and make this better.
3. Cleaning: I don't like our current cleaning lady, and would love to find someone better.
4. Handy-person-ing: Just the little stuff that needs to get done.
5. Maybe, if someone can recommend, cooking. I would love to eat healthier, but I don't have the mental space/time/interest to make cooking anything but a chore.
Hm, I don't think I'm very domestic. What I really want is a housewife-type person for hire, it seems.
Oh, and if you have a contractor you can recommend, I still need someone to help with redoing the kitchen. I would actually seriously pondering doing a bigger remodel if I found a contractor I trusted.
