Apparently, not an election in Inglewood. Walmart spent over a million dollars trying to get approval to move a store into Inglewood. They got 4,575 votes in favor, 39.3% of the voters. That means they spent $218.59 per voter! Three cheers for democracy, I guess.

Damn... someone in their public affairs department needs to be smacked, for spending so little.
Although I suppose in some sense we now know what their willingness to spend is.
