May 4th: NYPD is sending officers undercover, disguised as homeless men, to arrest homeless men who don't have the $2 bus fare to ride a special bus from Spanish Harlem to a men's homeless shelter.
August 23rd: I finally pulled the trigger yesterday. I am counting the elapsed days not from when I began research, but from my first contact with a kitchen designer.
October 5th: "The Work Song" by The Evangenitals The other day when I awoke I went to work I did my job then I went home. I fed the dog. I watched TV. I fell asleep. Ain't life sweet?
November 1st: Today is the first day of NaNoWriMo. [...] I sit here with no clue as to what I want to write about, no story ideas, no plot ideas, and only vague character ideas.
December 2nd: I had a good talk with the psychiatrist yesterday, and he gave me a scrip for the lowest dose of Wellbutrin.
So, I failed to get the kitchen remodeled, or even designed; I failed to even start on a novel for NaNoWriMo, much less finish one; and I've sunk low enough to go on meds.
But, hey, I installed a doorbell, so I guess the year was worth something. :-(
