Social life rocks... now to crawl back behind a rock again

Brunch was lovely. Not only did we have a nice time, it forced us to finally do a cleaning that was most necessary. And afterwards, per [livejournal.com profile] xthread's suggestion we headed out to a lovely dinner. It was the most social I've been in way too long. Whenever I finally become social again, I realize how much I've missed it.

Of course, I'm heading out to Vegas this weekend (for work), so I'm going to be anti-social again. And next weekend is Passover, so.... gah! It's hard to schedule being social, especially with a baby.

Again, sorry we missed brunch. Dorothy was somewhat recovered by about 3pm, but still really wrung out.

As for the the bit about it being hard to socialize when you have a baby, I don't know if you've seen the standup bit from several years ago where the comedian comes out on stage carrying a bowling ball wearing a diaper, and a big chain runs from the bowling ball to a shackle on his leg. He says, "Dinner? We'd love to, but we have a baby."

Is there anything that I can't break!?!?

That was supposed to read:

He says, "Dinner? We'd love to, but we have [drops bowling ball on stage from about waist high] a baby."

But I used angle brackets instead of square brackets. I wondered if that would be interpreted as an HTML tag, so I hit Preview, but it came through just fine. Then I hit Submit, and it got eaten.

Hopefully the square brackets will work.

Worked this time. :)

And yeah, sometimes that's exactly what it feels like with a baby. But, oddly, I still think it's worth it. Kind of like the dogs for you... a lot of work, a lot of pain-in-the-neck, but overall, the right choice.
