Looking for a landing place from Facebook

Facebook's evil has overflowed by "willing to deal with" buffers, and I have stopped posting & will likely be deleting my account by the end of the year.

I'm experimenting with a bunch of different places where I could move to chat with friends & keep up with people's lives. This is one of those places.

I am similarly exploring other options - probably to augment instead of replace, but I am sad to lose contact with friends. I haven't been active here but am/will try.
